"Our Walt Disney World Vacation"

  We left Friday at noon Jan 24 to Florida, we loaded up the kids and ALL their Disney stuffed animals. Jordan's school got canceled for a SNOW day , and Joey didn't have to go into work because of bad weather. So what did the Stone family do , jump in the car and drive. We had to go slow because of ICE and people in Texas don't like to drive on ICE and by time we got to Louisiana all bridges were closed down, we were stuck there for 24 hours, We got on the road finally at noon the next day we literally were only 3 hours from home , I guess we should have heeded to the WARNINGS. We were safe though and made it to Orlando at 10:00 pm that night.By this time we can't sleep we are so ECSTATIC to go to Disney World. It has been so long since I last wrote... SORRY LALO !! We still love you!!! Between holidays, computer malfunctioning and being a mom I just didn't get to it, but one of my new year resolutions is to be a better blogger so I can keep a journal going for my family, so here it goes...


Thanksgiving week was a very BLESSED and BUSY week, we (The Stone's and Andrea) started it off Monday heading to San Antonio (4.5 hr drive) to Escort Danielle and Noe through the temple and witness their family being sealed for Eternity. That was such an amazing experience :) then Wednesday we headed down to McAllen ( 4.5 hrs to drive) for Thanksgiving it was so yummy (I think the oldest sister always takes the cooking award ;). Then Thursday night we headed back to Spring ( 6 hrs driving) to take Andrea to the airport bright and early Friday morning -- 15 hours in a small car!! Good thing we love each other, and it was all worth it we would totally do it again. Sat we went and watched Disney's new movie Frozen LOVE IT , it is so GOOD Ally's new favorite for sure and her new favorite princess/queen is Elsa .. SO FUN, and we adopted a puppy because my family can't say no and the adoption pet company was by the movie theater.

We had Joey's first Christmas Party for Westpark it was a lot of fun , they had dancing , karaoke and lots of yummy food. Joey and Jordan wanted to tackle a tie quilt for new years, that was a tradition each year in his family, they did a great job :) !!

Christmas we decided to stay home after the long Thanksgiving drive, we went to the Jolley's for Christmas Eve and had more yummy food :) we did a fun reenactment of the Nativity. Then we came home and watched White Christmas with our little family and went to bed. We were so blessed our favorite part of the whole day was getting to talk to Elder LALO :) we love and miss him so much I had the camera ready to record the whole thing then got so excited to see him I totally forgot :/. The sister missionaries came over to talk to their families (for Christmas) as well and that was so fun , you really gotta love technology! My mom came out the next day, we love having family around for the holidays they are just not the same without them.We also went to the Antique Mall and found some treasures. For New Years Eve we had the Zamora family and the Smith family over, it was a blast! It is always funny to see how much food Brother Smith can put down!

Lalo got released from District Leader and transferred to Alicante, the nicest area on his Mission. We are really excited to see pics. Everyone in Granada was sad to see him go I am sure there were many tears shed for him :( Change is good keeps us strong.

I have told Joey for years that I want to go to Disney World for my birthday, YEP!! He is awesome we are driving ( 14-15 hrs) to Florida Jan 24, Grandma Great is going to meet us there (Joey's grandma) I am so excited I feel like a little child no worries Lalo we will go every 3 years ... :) !!! I want to have some quality time before we think about another child since I get so sick. To be continued......

General Conference Oct 2013

This weekend was General Conference , it is one of my favorite weekends of the year. I love being able to stay home all weekend and truly be uplifted and inspired by the word of the lord , through prophets and apostles. I totally was going to craft throughout the 8 hours of conference but all the talks were so good I didn't get to craft at all.

So while watching Conference I had a feeling to email Elder Gonzalez , to my surprise he was injured playing soccer ... ok Standing on a Soccer ball forgetting that it is round lol , Jordan said so what did the ball pop LOL , no it didn't pop it rolled and he fell. Sorry Lalo but we can so laugh about this now. We had lots of prayers being offered on his behalf , we didn't want him to have to come back to the states to get surgery on his ACL, yes he injured or tore his ACL.

Well we heard back from lalo he gets to stay in SPAIN for now yay , we are still praying all is well and he recovers quickly , he is a trainer :) !! 

The week is always crazy of course , but the weekend was fun we actually checked Jordan out of school early to go watch a matinee movie Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 :/ It was ok but I know he felt special , we went to HOCUS POCUS POPS in the park free concert , the kids had fun it was nice and cool , the wind was actually blowing :) !!

Great Start ......

This week I started off feeling very accomplished. I decided Monday morning after I emailed Elder Gonzalez and blogged I was going to sew Ally's Costume, and I did POCAHONTAS . It turned out cute , mostly because she looks so cute in it , I have a few final touches but never the less it is done one item on my list crossed off. - Because I was feeling so accomplished and in the CRAFT ZONE I totally forgot to take Jordan to Piano , yes mom of the year reward :( I felt so bad Jordan being the good kid he is said " Mom it's ok I get an extra day to practice no big deal." I still felt bad. Well here is the costume..

and ya pretty much kenpo, piano makeup , counseling , more kenpo , gymnastics is what our week consists of. It is fun and keeps us busy 

Friday we did go to the smith's and have S'mores and sit around their fire pit :) !! That was so fun !! 

For the record Ally hates smoke in her eyes and like to sleep indoors :) !! 

She can keep up with the boys during the day but by night she is 100% all girl plush blanket air conditioning kinda lady and I love it !! 

Joey is working on a furniture project , I have photos to come. I found a ETHAN ALLEN buffet/dresser for $8 that he is refinishing for me and it is looking so good.
